SMT Jumpers, Test Points and Mini Blade Fuse Clips are
innovative solutions that will allow you to design better
products for less. Vestal's SMT Interconnect Hardware
is tape & reel packaged to simplify material handling
and optimize the utilization of today's high-speed automated
placement equipment.
Miniature
SMTJ Jumpers
Vestal's SMTJ Series Jumpers are designed to provide
a safe, cost effective means of joining circuit
traces on densely populated circuits. Optional features
on multi-function PCBs can be easily activated or
changed by simply adding or deleting the SMTJ during
the assembly process. In hi-reliability and/or harsh
environments, SMTJs offer an excellent alternative
to costly switches that can be sensitive to moisture
and other contaminants.
The SMTJs unique "under beam" lead form offers the
smallest “foot print” of any jumper in the industry,
and is fully compatible with today’s high speed
placement and solder reflow processes. It is stable
during all assembly processes and offers the added
benefits of excellent solderability and cleaning
characteristics.
SMTJs are available in 1206 and 2005 sizes. Multi-level
or custom jumpers are available on request.

RFI
Shield Clips for EMI/RF Shields
The RFI Shield Clip is a surface mount device that
offers a fast solution for the assembly of EMI/RFI
shields to PCB’s by eliminating the need for post
reflow operations. It also eliminates the need for
through holes, thereby saving real estate and reducing
circuit board costs.
The clip simplifies rework as the mating shield
can be easily removed and replaced.

High
Current SMT Jumper Links
The Surface Mount Jumper link is designed to link
PCB tracks where through hole links are not possible.
Typical applications include use on aluminium backplanes
in power applications. The parts are supplied “taped
and reeled” for placement with standard SMT production
machines.

Test
Points
The SMT Test Point is designed to be automatically
placed by industry standard equipment onto printed
circuit boards to allow functional testing both
during and after manufacture. The Test Points can
be easily probed by ATE equipment or have manual
hook probes attached if required ensuring that faults
are quickly and easily identified.

Mini
Blade Fuse Clips
The Vertical entry SMT Fuse Clip is designed to
accept blade fuses typically found in automotive
and related applications. The SMT Fuse Clip is precision
stamped from high-grade brass, with a tin/lead over
nickel plated finish for reliable solderability,
positive contact forces and low contact resistance.
The clip is also suitable for mating with a 2.8
x 0.8mm terminal, if placed in a pair.
